 Our Vision

Our team is made up of priests, religious, and laity who are committed disciples of Jesus Christ, outstanding for their humility, authenticity, and joy

Our Newman Center is a home, a school, and a path where students encounter Christ as the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

1. Holy Spirit Newman Center serves the students of Grand Canyon University by providing a home for the heart.
  • We intentionally cultivate hospitality, authenticity, encouragement, and a sense of shared responsibility.
2. As a school of faith we actively promote a hunger for understanding and a disposition of continual growth.
  • We teach the truth with unwavering fidelity to the Catholic Church.
  • We install a love for the good by emphasizing virtue and the practical implications of the faith that we profess.
  • We cultivate the capacity for contemplation through the beauty of music and art.
  • We consciously highlight the relationship between truths of the faith so that students develop an unified and well-integrated understanding.
3. We lead students on the path of discipleship through personal accompaniment and intentional formation.
  • Students find healing and freedom by embracing their true identity in Christ.
  • They are trained in the concrete disciplines of a disciple such as making a good Confession, praying the Holy Mass well, what to do during adoration, fasting, almsgiving, lectio divina, personal prayer, praying the rosary, and how to fruitfully engage in spiritual reading.
  • Through self-knowledge, prayer, and accompaniment students discover their personal charisms and discern the vocation to which God is calling.

Alumni of the Newman Center are well-formed humanly, spiritually, intellectually, and apostolically to be lifelong, missionary disciples in the vocation to which God has called them.
