Sr. Clare, SCTJM
My name is Sr. Clare Marie of the Immaculate Lamb. I grew up in Illinois and I met our Religious Community, the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary during my time in college. I did not go to the university expecting to meet sisters or ever imagine becoming one. About halfway through college, I found my heart longing for something more… and with the sister’s guidance into a sacramental life, I begin to really live the “life in abundance” that Christ promises and that I was looking for.
Eventually I knew I needed to ask the Lord, “what have you created me for?” From my experience, I deeply understood every choice I made for God brought more joy and peace – so if He asked for my whole life, I would say yes. To my surprise, He did! After giving my fears to the Lord, but with much joy I entered our community on March 19th 2015, made my first vows January 6th 2018 and made my perpetual vows February 11, 2024!
Giving my life to the Lord has been much more of a gift to my own heart. I am blessed to be part of a beautiful Religious Community founded by Mother Adela Galindo. She constantly leads and guides us deeper into the splendor and beauty of our faith. We strive to bring this same gift to others. It is a great joy to see young people blossom as they begin to live this life with Christ!
